Samashti Upanayanam - Registrations Open

Samashti Upanayanam is conducted by Vadakkanthara Grama Jana Samooham every year. This year it will be conducted on 28th February 2016 under the direction of Grama Vadhyar Brahmasri Ananthanarayana Vadhyar. Parents who are interested to conduct Upanayanam for their children may register for the event at "Gowri Shankara Kalyana Mandapam" with following details before 15th February 2016:

  • Child's Name
  • Nakshatram (Star)
  • Gothram
  • Suthram

ഭാഗവതം - എന്നാല്‍ എന്ത്?

ഭ എന്ന വാക്കിനു അറിവ് എന്നാണ് അര്‍ത്ഥം. ഭ എന്നതിന് സംസ്കൃതത്തില്‍ പ്രകാശം എന്നും അര്‍ത്ഥം ഉണ്ട്. അത് കൊണ്ടാണ് സൂര്യന് ഭാസ്കരന്‍, ഭാനു എന്നീ പേരുകള്‍ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഭ എന്നതില്‍ നിന്നും ഭാരതം, ഭാരതീയന്‍ എന്നും വാക്കുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നു. അത് കൊണ്ട് അറിവാകുന്ന പ്രകാശത്തില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്നവരെ ഭാരതീയര്‍ എന്ന് പറയപെടുന്നു. ഭ ഭാദി സര്‍വ ശാസ്ത്രേഷു ര രതി സര്‍വേഷു ജന്തുഷു ത താരണം സര്‍വേഷു ലോകേഷു തേന ഭാരതമുച്യതേ ഭ എന്നാ ശബ്ദം കൊണ്ട് അറിവാകുന്ന പ്രകാശം എന്നും, ഗ എന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ആ സ്മരണയില്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്‍ എന്നും, ആര്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം ഇരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവരെ ഭഗവാന്‍ എന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോള്‍ അറിവ് പകര്‍ന്നു തരുന്നതിനെ ഭാഗവതം എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. -- സ്വാമി ഉദിത് ചൈതന്യ.
