Yet another year, 2015. Theru programs are ready. Here is the notice/invitation for Theru/Ratholsavam this year. Below is the message from Thirunellai Grama Samooham. For any clarifications write to tgspalakkad04@gmail.com

"Dear Devotee,
We are glad to inform you that the Ratholsavam of Sree Poorna Pushkalambal Sametha Sree Hariharaputra Swami temple of our village is scheduled to be celebrated for 10 days from 30 April to 9 May 2015. 
In addition to religious functions, cultural and entertainment programmes are also included to make it enjoyable to one and all. 
We hereby solicit your wholehearted support for the smooth and successful conduct of the Ratholsavam through your participation and liberal contribution.

Poorna Pushakala Sametha Hariharaputhra Swamy, the deity in our village. (Hariharaputhra with Poorna and Pushkala) Lord Hariharaputhra (Son of Hari [Lord Vishnu] and Haran [Lord Shiva]) or Lord Ayyappa. The devotees of Ayyappa call him by several favorite names that include, Dharmashasta (one who established Dharma), Manikanta (born with a bell on the neck) etc. This picture is uthsavamoorthi (festival idol) decorated with flowers and taken in theru (wooden cart) and taken through out the village as part of annual 9 day celebration.

ഭ എന്ന വാക്കിനു അറിവ് എന്നാണ് അര്‍ത്ഥം. ഭ എന്നതിന് സംസ്കൃതത്തില്‍ പ്രകാശം എന്നും അര്‍ത്ഥം ഉണ്ട്. അത് കൊണ്ടാണ് സൂര്യന് ഭാസ്കരന്‍, ഭാനു എന്നീ പേരുകള്‍ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഭ എന്നതില്‍ നിന്നും ഭാരതം, ഭാരതീയന്‍ എന്നും വാക്കുകള്‍ തുടങ്ങുന്നു. അത് കൊണ്ട് അറിവാകുന്ന പ്രകാശത്തില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്നവരെ ഭാരതീയര്‍ എന്ന് പറയപെടുന്നു. ഭ ഭാദി സര്‍വ ശാസ്ത്രേഷു ര രതി സര്‍വേഷു ജന്തുഷു ത താരണം സര്‍വേഷു ലോകേഷു തേന ഭാരതമുച്യതേ ഭ എന്നാ ശബ്ദം കൊണ്ട് അറിവാകുന്ന പ്രകാശം എന്നും, ഗ എന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ആ സ്മരണയില്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്‍ എന്നും, ആര്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം ഇരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവരെ ഭഗവാന്‍ എന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോള്‍ അറിവ് പകര്‍ന്നു തരുന്നതിനെ ഭാഗവതം എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. -- സ്വാമി ഉദിത് ചൈതന്യ.
